If you are free and would like to assist with marshalling duties, your help would be greatly appreciated.

CTT AGM-2026

As suspected there was a big change at Board level.

Directors. Those elected were Richard Bideau, John Fairclough, Alex Royal and Paul Winchcombe. Andrea Parrish survived the vote and remained as a Director.

Chairperson. Gavin Russell withdrew his nomination for Chairperson.

The vote was closer than anticipated with Tim Smith receiving 38 to Andrea's 34.  Immediately following the announcement that Tim Smith was elected Chair, Andrea resigned from the Board and left straight away. Both Martin Heritage Owen and Robin Fielding resigned from the Board in support of Andrea (they are all from South Wales DC).

Following lunch, it was announced that the vacant position on the Board would be filled at the discretion of the Board. The AGM continued with most of the regulation changes went the way we were mandated to vote, with exception of 3 items (to be discussed at the next East District meeting).

EDCA representatives to write to new Chair person Tim Smith, firstly to congratulate and to request that the layout of the papers revert back to a previous format (pre- Andrea Parrish). It is the opinion of the EDCA that Tim Smith will steer the Board in a direction which will re-engage with Districts.

EDCA Handbook

Due to numerous reasons, including a decline in sales, it is no longer financially viable to print and distribute an EDCA handbook. Instead, all EDCA information and announcements will be via the EDCA.bike website and the EDCA Facebook page.
